Population: 1008

Located on the shores of Lac Saint-Jean, at the mouth of the Métabetchouane River, the town of Desbiens boasts a wealth of natural, cultural and historical attractions. The two star attractions are the Parc de la caverne Trou de la Fée, which combines caving, vertiginous experiences and hiking, and the Poste de traite de Desbiens, which takes you back to the origins of human occupation in the region. Then there's La Route des Poteaux, featuring regional personalities along the main street. Desbiens' sandy beach invites you to relax, while cyclists cross the municipality on the Véloroute des Bleuets and the more adventurous have fun at H2O Rafting. Don't miss the Festival Desbiens Extrême and the Festival de l'Iceberg. Winter is an action-packed season for snowmobilers and ice fishermen teasing burbot.
