Anyone who dreams of the great outdoors should know about the village of Saint-Stanislas. Just north of Lac-Saint-Jean, local economic activity in this corner of the region is based on agriculture and forestry. We stop off at Au Clocher, a multifunctional center with a climbing wall (Haut Clocher) and restaurant in the heart of a church that has been given a new vocation. The Mistassibi River in this area is popular with rafters, kayakers and tobogganers. The municipality manages a campground on the shores of Lac Éden, with eight serviced sites and a number of unserviced areas. There's also a beach and an ATV trail. Every fall, in mid-September, the Festival du Faisan is held, and in winter, the territory becomes a playground for snowmobilers.
