With the addition of vacationers, the population of Saint-Félix-d'Otis triples in summer. Its vast territory, south of the Saguenay Fjord, boasts 189 lakes that delight anglers and water sports enthusiasts. The forest is a delight for hunters, snowshoers, hikers, snowmobilers and ATV enthusiasts. At the heart of the action, Lac Otis is a popular vacation spot close to the city of Saguenay. The municipal campground boasts the only public beach in the area. Saint-Félix-d'Otis is a village in bloom, in a setting that has seduced major Quebec and foreign film-makers. The Site de la Nouvelle-France (New France site) is based on sets built on the site, and is located at L'Anse-à-la-Croix, where the fjord meets Baie des Ha! Ha! with a major historical attraction recreating Québec City in the 17th century.
