Saint-Ambroise's settlers in 1870 were attracted by the quality of its farmland. Even today, potato fields, blueberry bushes and canola fields demonstrate that the original vocation is still very much alive. The many lakes have attracted their share of vacationers, while the municipality has developed a host of services. Quad and snowmobile trails crisscross its territory, and a cycling circuit runs through the town, which boasts recreational and cultural infrastructures as well as a dynamic commercial sector. The backcountry invites you to discover the hiking trail of the mighty Gagnon Falls. In mid-August, the Festival de la chanson de Saint-Ambroise gives pride of place to young and up-and-coming singers. Camping, entertainment, camper services and dump stations.
