Lac-Saint-Jean

You want to discover the Lac-Saint-Jean area and are looking for a place to camp? More than 30 campgrounds are ready to welcome you with open arms. Most of them are located on the shores of the majestic lake, so you can easily get to the beach for a swim or for a family sand castle competition. With 42 km of sandy beaches, there is no shortage of choice on sunny days. Bicycle enthusiasts will also be well served by the magnificent 256 km Véloroute des Bleuets which borders Lac Saint-Jean and reaches many campgrounds. This route is also the perfect opportunity for epicureans looking for local products: tasty blueberries, fresh cheeses and microbrewery beers are not to be missed. Those who settle in the campgrounds near Saint-Henri-de-Taillon can also visit the parc national de la Pointe-Taillon as for those who will be established further away, know that this detour is really worth it.

Saguenay

By choosing to camp in the Saguenay area, you will also be closer to the activities of the city. Cultural outings in museums and a wide variety of meals for all tastes, it's the ideal place to enjoy urban life while being close to nature! Whether your campground is located near Lac Kenogami, Baie des Ha! Ha! or south of the Rivière Saguenay, you will be close to absolutely everything. You like cycling? Take advantage of the municipal bike paths to discover the 3 boroughs in the area. For the more athletic, we strongly recommend the Véloroute du Fjord du Saguenay which surrounds the Rivière Saguenay over 435 kilometers.

 

Route du Fjord

In Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, there are 9 campgrounds located along the Route du Fjord.  If you love to see unique landscapes, you will be close to the parc national des Monts-Valin and the parc national du Fjord-du-Saguenay, two must-sees in the region that will certainly amaze you. The Fjord du Saguenay, with its blue ribbon stretching 105 km, is sure to seduce all those who come to admire it. With the Navettes maritimes du Fjord, nothing will stop you since it will be possible to travel between the shores. Whether you are located on one side or the other of the Fjord, adventure awaits you! You will be able to ride a bike, go on long hikes and even fly from tree to tree to discover more! 

 

Tadoussac and surroundings

We must not forget the neighboring region of the Côte-Nord which is so close to us that it could be our little sister.  You will have the chance to choose from a few campsites that are located near the parc marin du Saguenay-Saint-Laurent. In this area, you will be able to admire the wildlife from the shore thanks to the Interpretation and Observation Center Cap-de-Bon-Désir as well as Pointe-Noir. From July to October, you can also book a cruise to observe the whales, seals and birds of Tadoussac.
