The Ilnu Museum of Mashteuiatsh is a place of conservation and transmission of the culture of the Pekuakamiulnuatsh (Ilnu of Lac Saint-Jean) and the First Nations of Quebec. Come and discover the most fascinating activities and exhibitions, in addition to meeting dedicated people who are committed to showcasing and sharing this culture. The Museum offers three exhibitions during the summer period in addition to offering you a walk in the Nuhtshimitsh outdoor site (In the forest). Accompanied by a guide, visitors will learn how the Pekuakamiulnuatsh were able to adapt to their environment over the centuries. Several summer activities take place there. Cultural activities, conferences, demonstration of archaeological excavation techniques, tasting of bannock (bread) and herbal teas from the boreal forest.
