The dynamic community of L'Ascension-de-Notre-Seigneur is based on the agroforestry, industrial and commercial sectors, as well as a number of well-known services and tourist attractions. Its vast territory is bounded mainly by the northern fringe of the town of Alma and the Péribonka River. The horticultural enterprise Jardin Scullion stands out with its daring gardens, activities for children and discovery of the boreal forest. Water sports enthusiasts use the boat launch to navigate the 100 km-long river to the Péribonka IV dam. A popular destination for snowmobilers and ATV enthusiasts, with its restaurant-relais. The Ascension en Fête festival takes place here in mid-August, and the Winter Carnival in mid-February. Camping and dump station on 4th Avenue.
