The gateway to Fjord-du-Saguenay National Park and the extraordinary natural phenomena of Baie Éternité and Cap Trinité, Rivière-Éternité began attracting cruisers and artists almost two centuries ago. Even today, they continue to fall under its spell, as do the many outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, sea kayaking, climbing and via ferrata. The statue of Notre-Dame-du-Saguenay remains a national monument. The long Notre-Dame-Kapatakan walking circuit, the 215 km "little Compostelle", starts at Rivière-Éternité. In winter, experience ice fishing, skiing, snowshoeing, long-distance hiking and snowmobiling. Visit Parc des Artistes to admire the giant nativity scene in the heart of the village. Lodging in B&Bs, inns and campgrounds.
