Saint-Eugène-d'Argentenay

Population: 477

The village of Saint-Eugène-d'Argentenay meanders along the Rivière aux Rats. In the heart of Maria Chapdelaine country, pioneers first settled here in 1895, then around the little white church and its glittering metal cross. A number of areas have been developed to provide access to the main natural attractions. The chute Évelyne rest area offers riverside picnic spots. The Rivière-aux-Rats park, in the center of the village, has a shelter, a dock, a boat launch and brand-new water games. The municipality is fortunate to be able to offer a high-quality summer theater in the church, combining comedy and history.
