Founded in 1972, the nordic skiing club Le Norvégien inc. is a non-profit organization headed by a board of directors made up of volunteers. They are committed to providing outdoor enthusiasts with a site where it is good to relax with family and friends, while practicing an outdoor activity accessible to all ages. Now identified as the Centre de plein air Le Norvégien, the site is now a four-season center where you can practice cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and fatbike, in winter, mountain biking , running and hiking, in summer. Located in Jonquière in Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, there is an equipment rental service, a waxing room, two relays and a welcoming chalet.
