Here, winter is lived to the fullest: ice fishing, snowshoeing, ski touring, fat biking : activities unfold to the rhythm of falling snow. The most curious adventurers seek out the 'ghosts' trees frozen in snow atop the mountains. Others prefer the tranquility of snowshoe hikes, cross-country skiing, or Hok skiing, or opt for the unique experience of a winter cruise on the fjord aboard the Brise-Glace. Thrill-seekers head for the High Routes and off-piste skiing, or embark on fat bike rides through magical landscapes.

Winter is also a time for solidarity, with events like the course Cryo supporting the Sur la pointe des pieds Foundation, which helps young people living with cancer.

Conquering winter, led by dogs

In Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, winter is also discovered at the pace of dog sledding. A true boreal adventure, this experience offers a unique way to connect with nature : through forests, fjords, and vast snowy landscapes. Among them, La Ferme à Minuit stands out. Led by a passionate young entrepreneur known for his care and respect for his dogs, the company perfectly embodies the spirit of authenticity and adventure that defines the region. It’s a deeply human, physical, and nature-connected experience.
