Discovery and exploration await
Experience an authentic Nordic adventure in the boreal forest: camping, canoeing, dogsledding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing.
Enjoy an unforgettable encounter with wolves at Parc Mahikan, as well as the chance to spend the night close to the pack in alternative accommodations (yurt, prospector's tent, cabin on stilts, etc.).

Our various eco-lodges are quite unconventional.
Visitors can opt to lodge in a Mongolian yurt, a cabin on stilts, a log cabin or a prospector tent, all of which are nestled in the middle of Parc Mahikan, Quebec’s largest interpretive and wolf observation centre!
This unique concept allows visitors to unwind in the wilderness, far away from the stress of daily life and to experience an unforgettable encounter with wolves. Doze off to the lullaby of howling wolves and watch them from our window (or perhaps the other way around…).

Parc Mahikan is the largest wildlife observation centre in Québec dedicated to wolves with three wolf packs. During your visit, you can observe wolves, beavers and black bears.
Observe the grey and Arctic wolves from the new observation tower. Live the new 24-hour package “Adventure in the land of the wolves” with accommodations in cottages, backcountry shelter, Arctic tent or igloo.
Guided excursion, discover the boreal forest, observation of 35 wolves in semi-freedom.

Dod-sledding: The possibilities are endless and enables diversity among the different courses, frozen lakes and rivers, besides the forest and savannas. In small groups (4 teams) with your musher guide, let yourself be transported to another time in harmony with your dogs and natural surroundings. We offer several dog sledding adventures, from family fun and discovery, to intense excursions conducive for self-improvement.

Canoe-camping: Along the region's great rivers for a true escape in the boreal forest. Whether you're looking for serenity and quiet waters, or an exhilarating white water experience, the perfect river is waiting for you. Travel along the river to the rhythm of nature for one to several day excursions. (June to October)
