The CHAM is an interpretation center located on the historic and archaeological site of Métabetchouane and the trading post of the same name (1676-1880). This is one of the rare tourist attractions located on the shores of the majestic Lac Saint-Jean!

The Poste de traite de Desbiens is an interpretation centre that shares the same site as the first regional trading post in 1676. It’s one of the rare tourist attractions located along the shores of the majestic Lac Saint-Jean! It presents the region’s history to visitors in an original, interactive and immersive fashion, in addition to learning about those who prevailed during the clash of the cultures.
