Bardsville

Description
The Bardsville Cottages
Owned by the Fjord-du-Saguenay RCM since 2012, the Bardsville site fishing point is located on the Mont-Valin territory without municipal organization. It's located near the Parc national du Fjord-du-Saguenay, between the municipalities of Sainte-Rose-du-Nord and Sacré-Cœur. This site reflects the era of private fishing clubs in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean area within a natural setting, surrounded by the Sainte-Marguerite River and Mont Arthur-Leblanc.
The site management and operations are taking care by the Sainte-Marguerite River Association.
Heritage
The heritage value of Bardsville fishing point is more directly related to the presence of private salmon fishing clubs established on the Saguenay tributary rivers in the 1800s. Only a few similar public sites are still operating in Quebec today.
