Chambord

Population: 1781

Chambord, a road and rail hub, vacation haven and service center, is located at the crossroads of highways 155 and 169. Many fishing enthusiasts choose Chambord for its landlocked salmon and walleye. Others prefer its sandy beaches. Cyclists can take advantage of the lake's vast vistas and rural areas from the Véloroute des Bleuets, whose section once bordering the road has been replaced by a safe trail. The view from the rest area is spectacular. The historic village of Val-Jalbert is located on the Chambord territory, which boasts numerous lodging and restaurant businesses, campgrounds and a health and spa center. Its Cowboy Festival returns every summer. Drainage station near the tourist information office.
