Let yourself be charmed by the adventures documented in photos and videos of Alexandra Diaz thanks to the #AlexauSagLac and allow yourself to live the same experience as her by consulting her itinerary for each season. In addition to being inspired by her summer stay, you'll be able to see all the places that made her visit unique.

DAY 1 | A DEPARTURE TO THE FJORD PANORAMA

Direction Pourvoirie du Cap au Leste

Departure to Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean to go to the Pourvoirie du Cap au Leste au Leste where you will spend the next two nights.

Note: When you turn on the road from Cap à l’Est, you will have 7 km to go before arriving at the Outfitter.

Cap au Leste is an idyllic resort located in the heart of the boreal forest and perched on a cape of nearly 300 meters offering a magnificent view of the fjord.

Several activities are offered on the site, in addition to a restaurant and a bar in the main lodge.

Alexandra's favourite: The health center in the main building with a beautiful swimming pool and a sauna directly overlooking the Saguenay Fjord.

The panorama is majestic! Young and old alike will love doing this activity!

DAY 2 | AN ADVENTURE & GOURMET DAY

Take the road to Parc Aventures Cap Jaseux where you will spend a good part of your day. On the menu: a multitude of activities on the site (kayak, beach, sailing, via ferrata, tree climbing) that you can choose and book in advance. Everything for all ages and all levels. Young people will particularly appreciate the Young Explorers Course.

Between two activities, take a dinner break by visiting La Vieille Ferme. Enjoy a magnificent view of the fjord by eating fresh and local products. Children will love to visit the farm, feed the animals and parents will appreciate to stock up at the P'tit Marché.

Return to Cap Jaseux Adventure Park for another family activity, before traveling for about 25 minutes to Sainte-Rose-du-Nord for dinner. Renowned as The Pearl of the Fjord, you will greatly appreciate this beautiful village and the fat-gastronomy proposed at the Restaurant Les 3 G where you will stop to eat. You will also enjoy the end of day light on the pier. Guaranteed dazzling and amazement.

Return to Cap au Leste for your second night.

DAY 3 | ON WATER AND ON EARTH

Enjoy an excellent breakfast at the main Lodge of the outfitter before heading to Sainte-Rose-du-Nord where you will board in the Navettes maritimes du Fjord or the day.

Along the way, you will make a short stop at the Parc national du Fjord-du-Saguenay, in the Baie-Éternité sector to pick up passengers, stay aboard.

Around noon, you will arrive at L'Anse-Saint-Jean where you will enjoy a stopover of about 2 hours to dine and discover the surroundings.

Alex's few suggestions for dinner: For dinner, you will find a estaurant directly at the exit of the wharf: Café du Quai. If you want to walk, a walk of about 10 minutes will allow you to go to the Bistro La Chasse-Pinte. All 2 are really nice and have their own stamp.

After you have filled your belly, you will also find at the exit of the dock two artisan shops and a very popular ice cream parlor the Cabane à glaces.

Return on board the shuttle boat to return to Sainte-Rose-du-Nord.

Back at the wharf of Sainte-Rose-du-Nord, take the road to Saguenay to get to the Hôtel Le Montagnais (about 45 minutes drive) where you will spend two nights. Located close to everything, the hotel offers a multitude of services including a Aquafun for the enjoyment of children and the center Baie sur Mer for the pleasure and relaxation of parents.

It will now be time to choose where to eat.

Nearby, some suggestions:

DAY 4 | CULTURE ON THE ROAD OF THE FJORD

Have breakfast at the hotel before heading to La Baie for an afternoon at the Musée du Fjord where you will discover the indoor and outdoor exhibits. Children will love the outdoor excursion where you will go in search of the minerals, fauna and flora of the fjord in the company of passionate guides.

Dine in downtown La Baie before heading for an afternoon at the Site de la Nouvelle-France. Discover the daily life of a 17th century colony with a free or guided tour. Use the walking trail to admire the view of the Saguenay and the fjord and visit the archaeological sites of the place.

Return to the hotel for a refreshing dinner before attending a performance of La Fabuleuse histoire d’un Royaume, an epic show about the history of the region with more than 150 live comedians on stage. A can’t miss experience!

Return to the hotel.

DAY 5 | RETURN

It's already time to leave, before heading back, stop for lunch in the city center.

Suggestions from Alexandra:

  • Café Mont-Royal (we taste the famous beans of the place and we take a delicious crepe in extra)
  • Passion café (We order a breakfast on the plate, a pastry with an excellent latte in beverage)

To change the scenery, take the road to Quebec via Baie-Saint-Paul via QC-381 S and QC-138 O. On the road, make a stop at the lookout on Lake Ha! Ha! in Ferland-Boileau.

Leave your head full of memories with a desire in mind: come back in the fall!
