New exhibition at La Pulperie de Chicoutimi : Broue

La Pulperie de Chicoutimi will host a new temporary exhibition starting on April 19, 2025: Broue, L'homme des Tavernes.

This exhibition, presented by La Voie Maltée and designed, created, and adapted for touring by the Museum of Civilization, revisits one of the greatest cultural phenomena in Quebec.

With over 3,300 performances and 3 million spectators, and inspired by the simple and exclusively male reality of taverns, this theatrical comedy explores all the familiarity, frankness, and struggles of these men.

The exhibition reveals the behind-the-scenes of this cult play. To begin, visitors will be transported into the world of taverns from the 1970s, with both a visual and auditory immersion, before entering the universe of the iconic work that marked the imagination of Quebecers for 38 years. It features the original sets, props, and costumes, and visitors will also gain privileged access to the thoughts and reflections of the craftsmen involved.
