Something new for everyone!

At the Moulin des Pionniers de La Doré, there are a lot of new features: water games with a slide, a giant trampoline, giant dry slides, a play structure, an interactive game, a mini-golf, kayak rentals, a 30-meter zip line adapted to children (1 meter from the ground), an old renovated fire tower, the visit of the mill with 360° video animation on QR code, a bike path, electric bike charging stations, a hebertism trail, hiking trails with a shelter, access to quad, snowmobile and motocross trails, various types of lodging including freshly renovated century-old houses and a camping site.

 

 

Are you a mountain camping lover?

Our platforms at the top of Mont Edouard promise to make your stay unforgettable! You will find: five camping platforms on the summit with a panoramic view, a chalet to take your meals and protect you from the elements, two dry toilets and more than 25 km of hiking trails allowing you to explore the mountain and its high road.

Lodging options

From a fully serviced RV site, to mountaintop camping platforms, to a high-road shelter, outdoor enthusiasts will find a new way to experience the resort in summer! This summer, you will find: 9 RV sites with services (water, electricity and sewer); 5 camping platforms at the top of the mountain; 1 refuge in the high road sector at Mont Edouard.

Biking in the forest

From now on, the amateurs of all disciplines of cycling will be able to find a more and more diversified offer from the station to Mont Edouard. Here is what you will find: 6 enduro runs from beginner to expert. 8 km of forest trails for the family. Connection to the ZEC of Anse-Saint-Jean offering different itineraries of 20 km and more. Road bike itinerary to Anse-Saint-Jean and Petit Saguenay.

Adventures in Nature

A new feature that is sure to please hikers!

The Tête-de-Chien Peak Trail in the Parc national des Monts-Valin offers a spectacular development of sidewalks, footbridges and lookouts that once again provides access to the highest point of the Tête-de-Chien Peak, an escarpment plateau that rises to 575 meters above sea level and offers breathtaking panoramas and views. It is 8.5 kilometers long (round trip) and has a 345 meter difference in altitude.

New Via Ferrata section

At Parc Aventures Cap Jaseux, the Via Ferrata is now on a continuous lifeline, which means easier handling of the carabiners.  In addition, a new section will be available this summer with an arrival on the beach of the magnificent fjord.

Additions at VIVA 

The installation of the outdoor heated pool will be completed at Village-Vacances Petit-Saguenay. In addition, a new hebertism track will be available for everyone's pleasure. Come and enjoy the summer with your family!

Watercraft rentals

Take advantage of the calm and beauty of Lake Ouiatchouan to rent a small boat and let the waves guide you. Alone or with the family, L'Ermitage Saint-Antoine has the boat for you: kayaks, paddle boards and pedal boats.

28 km trail

Starting from the Parc régional des Grandes-Rivières du lac Saint-Jean, the Monasteriorum Pilgrimage Trail takes you to the sites of three Trappist monasteries established since 1892.  This new 28 km pilgrimage trail was inaugurated in June 2021. Walkers and pilgrims will appreciate the beauty of the agricultural fields near which the Rat River winds between Dolbeau-Mistassini and Saint-Eugène-d'Argentenay.

Let's embark on regenerative tourism!

Okwari Le Fjord is embarking on regenerative tourism! Proceeds from the new packages will be reinvested in research projects and the protection of the natural environment. Forest trails to discover our biodiversity and an educational component will be offered in The Bay for the 2022 summer season.

Lodging

New outdoor relaxation area

Ideal to enjoy the panorama on the Baie des Ha Ha from the Auberge des Battures, this new outdoor relaxation space offers a fireplace for the marshmallow tasting activity (families and groups).  It will also allow the organization of festive activities in collaboration with local producers and artists, under the dynamic of the new chef Etienne Trottier.

Adapted lodging

Les Chalets Baie Cascouia has a new three-bedroom cottage designed for people with reduced mobility. The interior and exterior are designed for everyone's pleasure!

Unusual lodgings and camping

Camping on the islands of Lake Saint-Jean

Rustic campsites have been set up on three beautiful islands in the new Camp-de-Touage-Les-îles sector of Pointe-Taillon National Park. Six sites on each island, for a total of 18, with a dry toilet, picnic table and fire pit. Each island is dotted with beautiful small sandy beaches and offers a breathtaking view of Lac Saint-Jean. You can get there by kayak -luggage transportation is offered- or with a shuttle that will pick you up at the agreed upon time.

New ready-to-camp cottages

The Zec des Passes will offer 3 lodging units in the style of ready-to-camp as of July 2022. These three lodging units will be easily accessible on the territory of the Zec des Passes. Located in the recreation and tourism sector of the Zec des Passes, this lodging service will please families wishing to spend a fishing vacation as well as nature-loving groups. A true nature destination! 

Lodging site on the Zec Onatchiway

During the summer of 2021, a lodging site on the Zec Onatchiway was built. This site has 5 yurts that can accommodate up to 6 people, a picnic area, a dock on a small lake, paddle boards, canoes and kayaks for rent and a playground for children aged 5 to 12 years. Everything is there for a pleasant stay!

New model of ready-to-camp

In addition to pods, ready-to-camp and yurts, Camping Belley has added a new ready-to-camp model to its offer: domes.  With a surface area of 8 meters, a dome can accommodate up to 8 people, the rate includes 4 adults and their children.  

Expansion of the campground

Under the name of Bec-Scie Campground, this new sector of Bec-Scie Campground will have 31 sites, including two-serviced sites and ready-to-camp units. In fact, the site will offer three yurts and four cabins for rent. The yurts will be available for rent year-round.  This new sector will be combined with the 10 Contact Nature rustic campgrounds already in operation at Centre plein air Bec-Scie.

New yurt

A new 20' yurt with a kitchenette, a dry toilet and a rustic sink, which can accommodate up to 4 people, will be available this summer at Aventure Rose-des-Vents.

Vanlife at the Regional Park

Vanlife at the Regional Park means exploring the northern part of Lac-Saint-Jean in complete freedom.

Sites are available between 5:00 pm and 11:00 am in the following sectors: Secteur L'Écluse (Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, 2 sites), Secteur Albanel (Albanel, 10 sites) and Secteur L'Énergie (Girardville, 10 sites). Reservations are required.

Food, restaurants, delicacies and microbreweries

New restaurant : Le Baumier

At the Hôtel du Jardin, the chefs, Patrick Fournier and Sébastien Simard, offer you tasty dishes, declined according to the seasons and where regional products are honored at the Restaurant Le Baumier. Accredited Aliments du Québec on the menu and Ambassador of flavours by Zone Boréale. In addition, an outdoor playground for children will be set up.

New Economuseum

New member of the economuseum society, À l'Orée des Champs offers this summer a guided or individual visit on its site in order to learn more about lamb breeding, the profession of charcutière and the rich history of a family heritage of 3 generations. Sheepfold area with interpretation panels, interpretation area in the wooded area, interpretation trail leading to the lake, tasting of products made on site, boutique and restaurant and much more!

More space

Renovation and expansion of the boutique at Vergers de Velours to better accommodate customers. Also, expansion of the parking lot for more accessibility. A brand new formula for tasting northern berry alcohol with chocolate pairings.

A beer for the cause

The Beemer Distillery offers tours in French and English to discover the premises, the store and its products as well as regional products.  A special can in the colors of the Ukrainian flag for its lager type beer "Roberval" was designed.  The profits will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross relief fund for the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

New image and new online service

La Tablée du Lac now presents itself as an artisanal butcher shop with complementary services: pastry shop, delicatessen and showcase of local products. Its new online butchery service offers all artisanal butchery products as well as home-made products. Home delivery is done everywhere in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.

New space to discover

In 2021, the Historic Village of Val-Jalbert boldly opened its "dompe" to visitors; a thematic trail that runs through a former industrial dump. This summer, this trail continues and reaches a marsh... A forgotten corner, of waste and rejects, that the women of the village had nevertheless made their own... To be discovered!

New activity

Wool spinning is now available for clients at Les Alpagas Là! Là! Knitting yarn and felt cloth for any felting project. Interactive guided tour by appointment for a duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. Take the opportunity to buy your wool products at Boutique à la ferme.

Who has never dreamed of finding gold?

A gold seeker activity for novices or experienced, now offered at Cristal du Lac. Get a jar of sand that contains real gold, guaranteed! An expert facilitator will teach you the gold digger's method. Each participant will leave with a sample of precious stones and a predefined quantity of gold. 

Emily's Odyssey

This bilingual mobile application will allow visitors to discover the origin and utility of the artifacts and devices located on the outdoor trail, through 3D animations and historical reconstructions. Thanks to Emily, an electromechanical engineer, turbines, micro-power stations and water towers will no longer hold any secrets for visitors to the Odyssé des Bâtisseurs!

Riddles course

Les Douceurs de Mulâne is a company where the donkey is honored.  You will be charmed by this friendly animal with big ears. On the spot, walk along a path in the middle of nature (accessible with a stroller), experience the enigma trail no matter what your age and visit the boutique-workshop to discover the many body care products made from donkey milk.

An Alpaca Experience

Take a tour of the pasture, with its informative cards, where it is possible to observe and feed the alpacas and pick your own cameos.  Visit the store, where you can find alpaca fiber and creations from local artisans or imported from Peru. Extend the pleasure to sleep there! A camping and a mini-cottage are offered. Enjoy the site, mini-golf, children's games and picnic area at Alpaga Bersi.

Fun for the little ones!

A small pump track with bumps and detours for 3 to 7 year olds has been set up at Go-Karts! /Karting St-Félicien. A beautiful outdoor module also awaits you this summer in the Enfantastik corner for the little ones: baby swings, slides and climbing!

Exhibition What is the blueberry?

For ages, the blueberry has been identified with the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. But where does this identity come from? Come and find out in this playful exhibition that will plunge you into the world of blueberries at L'Odyssée des Bâtisseurs!

Exhibition of the Drave Dédrave

What remains of the log drive era? Old dams, bridges, stranded logs; traces that sometimes disrupt the ecosystem. Discover the little-known work of dredgers in this interactive family exhibition that will transport you into the fascinating world of ecological restoration. Designed with sustainable development in mind, this exhibition is presented at L'Odyssée des Bâtisseurs from June to September 2022.

The Antoine-Dubuc Cottage - A Legacy of Vacationing

From April 2 to September 10, 2022

Built in the middle of the 20th century, the Chalet Antoine-Dubuc is located in the middle of the forest on the borders of the Monts-Valin National Park, at the foot of the now famous sector of the Valley of the Ghosts. Its heritage and architectural values have led to its preservation and restoration through the cooperation of several organizations, including La Pulperie. The Saguenay River: The Eternal Heart of Maritime Commerce

The Saguenay River has always had a maritime vocation and is the great gateway to the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. Claude Bolduc - Carnal and subconscious delirium

From May 14 to September 11, 2022

Claude Bolduc, a native of Alma, is a painter who claims to be a Singular Artist. His voluminous and diversified production confronts Eros and Thanatos in a universe populated by strange beings and unbridled scenes in a brightly colored palette. Fjord Alive

Every weekend the village of Sainte-Rose-du-Nord comes alive and offers a diversified program of local talent, from circus to song, from dance to storytelling, everyone will be delighted. All this in one of the most beautiful villages in Quebec!

Chainsaw Art Symposium

The Chainsaw party offers continuous live chainsaw carving performances. On site, a dozen professional sculptors, including an international guest, will create works before your eyes and share their expertise with you. During a 5@7 performance, which will take place on Saturday, the sculptors will each create a work that will then be auctioned. Reserve your weekend from July 22 to 24 and come to Sainte-Rose-du-Nord to admire this incredible demonstration of talent in a friendly and festive atmosphere.

Festival Saint-Honoré dans l'Vent

Simple Plan in a mega show with Exterio on June 18, 2022. In addition, two shows by Martin Carli on June 17-18 Airbourne will be present on a world tour on September 16.

New multi-sensory film

This show gives visitors an immersive experience in the world of the Borealie and the cold regions of the globe. It is accompanied by sensory and special effects. New images were shot to present the new species that have been added to the animal collection of the Zoo sauvage of Saint-Félicien.

A brand new show

In Saint-Félicien, in the Sacré-Coeur park, the water, sound and light show will be changed. It is a brand new show that visitors will have the opportunity to attend during the summer evenings.
