Délices du Lac is moving!

Délices du Lac-Saint-Jean  has acquired a new building! They will now be located directly on the Véloroute des Bleuets, a very popular tourist bike path in the region. The company wishes to become "the destination" for wild blueberries. This is why its location on a main road is necessary to achieve this goal.

Development of a bike stop

In the wake of this project, a space will be developed́ to become a bike stop, with self-service tools and air pumps. On the Véloroute des Bleuets, there is no rest stop between the two main cities of northern Lac-Saint-Jean, Saint-Félicien and Dolbeau-Mistassini. Cyclists will be happy to have access to this type of service, combined with an adapted and innovative rest area.

Renewal of the interpretation

On the main site, new content, sought after and requested by visitors, will be added, such as: the influence of climate change on the cultivation of blueberries; the sustainable development component of the enterprise; the conditions of blueberry cultivation; the impact of the blueberry market́ for the region and the outside world; the enterprise's new products and their manufacturing process; the redesign of the tasting concept.

Development of a gourmet offer

Over the years, the company has acquired a very high level of notoriety through the development of several new renowned products, thus contributing to its attractiveness in the northern part of Lac-Saint-Jean. The company wishes to meet the demand of visitors by offering an improved range of tastings and the possibility of consumption on site. For this reason, a tasting area is planned in the project, as well as a "café", hence the need to have more space to receive customers.

The space of the boutique will also be increased in order to better showcase all the unique and distinctive products of the company.

An amazing church

Come and live an experience that is far from ordinary in a church full of surprises in the Alma area. Sainte-Marie de l'Isle-Maligne Church now has a brand new reason to welcome you. This magnificent establishment filled with history will become the Autel-Relais at the end of June. The mission of this new lodging is to offer you a unifying experience inside this completely renovated heritage building. The innovative concept will offer 10 rooms tailored for cyclists as well as a wide range of services, such as the legendary Saint-Crème Dairy Bar that was inaugurated last year. You will be able to enjoy their succulent soft creams and homemade mochis during your visit.
